Finalized The San Francisco Giants completed their $3 million, one-year contract with Aubrey Huff. The team said Wednesday that the first baseman had passed a physical. The sides agreed to terms during the weekend.

•Outfielder Ryan Church and the Pittsburgh Pirates finalized a $1.5 million, one-year contract. The Pirates expect Church to go into the season as their fourth outfielder. He also provides depth in case their top outfield prospect, Jose Tabata, does not reach the majors this season.

Hired Former Cleveland Browns coach Romeo Crennel has agreed to become defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs. Crennel will coach in the East-West all-star game before joining the Chiefs and linking up with his old friend, Charlie Weis. The New England Patriots won three Super Bowls with Crennel as defensive coordinator and Weis as offensive coordinator.

Retiring Linebacker Junior Seau is retiring again. The 12-time Pro Bowler, who returned to the New England Patriots this season, said on Show- time’s Inside the NFL that he has played his last game.

•Washington Redskins offensive line coach Joe Bugel is stepping down after more than three decades in the NFL.

Returning Houston quarterback Case Keenum has decided to play his senior year, skipping the NFL draft.

Fined The NBA has fined Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers $25,000 for an argument with officials that led to two quick technicals and an ejection. Rivers was irate over a flagrant foul called on Glen “Big Baby” Davis with 6:16 left in Monday’s 102-96 loss to Atlanta.

Returned New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards is back with the team after missing practice to make a court appearance in Cleveland on Tuesday. Edwards was placed on probation after pleading no contest to misdemean- or aggravated disorderly conduct in Cleveland.

Injured UCLA center J’mison Morgan will be out for at least two weeks after partially tearing his quadriceps muscle in his right leg during practice.
