In brief: Relay kick-off party will be Tuesday

SPOKANE VALLEY – On Tuesday the 2010 Spokane Valley Relay for Life Kick-Off Party will be held at the Quality Inn, 8923 E. Mission Ave., from 6 to 7 p.m.

The relay will be June 12 and early bird team registration is now available. To register and for more information, go to www.relayforlife.org/spokane valleywa.

Sullivan Corridor open house Thursday

SPOKANE VALLEY – The community is invited to an open house to discuss the 2010 Sullivan Corridor improvements hosted by the city of Spokane Valley from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Valley Assembly of God Church, 15618 E. Broadway Ave.

Work is scheduled to take place in the spring and summer at the Sprague and Sullivan intersection, the Sullivan and Broadway intersection and Broadway between Moore and Flora. The improvements are designed to fix ruts and improve safety. Traffic in the area will be affected during construction.

Visiting choir to sing at Sunday services

SPOKANE VALLEY – The Northwest Nazarene University Crusader Choir will perform in concert during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. worship services Sunday at the Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E. 20th Ave. All are welcome to attend.
