Nilles, Love sink Bantams

Shaniqua Nilles and Hannah Love combined for 50 points as West Valley jumped out to 16-point halftime lead and beat Clarkston (5-4, 3-1) to knock the Bantams from the ranks of the unbeaten in the Great Northern League Saturday at West Valley.

Nilles led all scorers with 26 points, adding eight assists, while Love notched her fourth consecutive 20-point performance with 24 points and 14 rebounds.

Colville 59, Medical Lake 47: Ashley Knight and Emily Pond scored 13 points apiece and the Indians (8-2, 3-1) jumped out to a 9-2 first-quarter lead and built that advantage to as high as 14 against the Cardinals (2-8, 1-3) in Colville.

Pullman 57, Deer Park 20: Shelby Cheslek scored 15 points and Jordan Levenseller and Danielle Hodged added 10 each as the Greyhounds (7-3, 2-0) dominated both ends, holding the Stags (3-7, 0-4) to 10 points in each half in Deer Park.

Curlew 56, Inchelium 49: Natalie Wilson led three Cougars (7-5, 4-4) in double figures with 22 points and the Hornets (0-13, 0-9) could not hold on after a 21-point second quarter gave them a two-point halftime lead in Inchelium.

Republic 56, Selkirk 54: Trailing by eight with 2 minutes remaining, the Rangers (7-9, 6-5) rallied on missed free throws by the Tigers (10-3, 7-2) but could not come any closer than within two by game’s end in Republic.

Columbia 71, Northport 30: Mackenzie Parrow scored 19 points, Lindsay Loe added 16 and the Lions (12-2, 9-1) held the Mustangs (2-11, 1-9) to 15 points in the first half to take a 17-point lead before a 24-8 fourth quarter put the game away in Northport.

Springdale 36, St. George’s 26: The Dragons (13-2, 8-1) were held to 16 percent shooting by the Chargers (15-1, 9-1), who received 15 points from Haley Goad off the bench at St. George’s.

Wellpinit 49, Cusick 40: Lauren Flett notched 23 points, including six consecutive at the start of the fourth quarter to break a 28-28 tie, leading the Redskins (5-8, 4-5) over the Panthers (4-9, 2-6) in Wellpinit.

Bi-County 2B

Lind-Ritzville 49, Reardan 48: Kelsey Arlt scored 11, including a go-ahead 3-pointer in the fourth quarter, and Kaytlin Phillips scored the game’s final point on a free throw with 16 seconds left to lift the host Broncos (7-6, 4-3) over the Indians (12-2, 6-1).

Liberty 59, Davenport 42: Katra Browning had 16 points and 13 rebounds, Teara Cornmesser added 12 points and 11 boards and the Lancers (9-5, 3-4) opened up a 13-point lead by halftime against the Gorillas (5-8, 1-6) in Liberty.

Colfax 67, Valley Christian 38: Brittney Burke and Hannah Harazin combined for 31 points and seven 3-pointers, helping lead the Bulldogs (9-3, 6-1) to a win over the Panthers (6-7, 1-6) at Valley Christian.

Bi-County 1B

Sprague-Harrington 50, Odessa 32: Kayla Eagleson’s 12 points and six rebounds paced the Falcons (4-9, 2-1), who took their biggest lead in the second quarter by holding the visiting Tigers (2-10, 1-2) to two points in the frame.

District 9 1B

Touchet 47, LaCrosse-Washtucna 41: Zoe Weaver led the Indians (3-4, 3-3) with 14 points, and after the Tigercats (5-9, 1-5) were held scoreless in the opening quarter, they rallied to outscore the Indians 30-14 in the second and third quarters, falling short of the comeback in Touchet.

Colton 89, Tri-Cities Prep 9: Kelsey Moser led three Wildcats (12-0, 5-0) in double figures and after trailing in the opening minute 3-2, they closed the half on a 50-2 run to bury the Jaguars (0-7, 0-6) in Colton.

Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 51, Lakeland 46: Leslie Stillar notched 22 points and the visiting Eagles (13-1) battled back to take the lead from the Hawks (5-11) with 2 minutes remaining, after losing the lead at the end of the first half.

Liberty Christian 41, Garfield-Palouse 24: The Patriots jumped out to a 12-point lead after three quarters with a 22-8 edge in the second and third quarters to beat the Vikings (0-10) in Palouse.

Tekoa-Oakesdale 53, Dayton 47: Alexandria Overton tallied a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Nighthawks (5-6) to a win over the visiting Bulldogs.

Northwest Christian 48, Wilbur-Creston 19: Colbi Neal had 12 points and recorded six of the Crusaders’ (7-7) 21 steals against the host Wildcats (2-13).
