Fox delivers varied views

The Spokesman-Review

After reading Harry Silverstein’s venomous appraisal of the Fox News Network (“Truth and fairness in labeling,” Letters, Jan. 17), I feel compelled to challenge his comments.

To say Fox News’ claim to be fair and balanced is fraudulent is a distortion of the facts.

Fox News, on a daily basis, has regular contributors of both liberal and conservative political persuasion. Even one of the weekly contributors is an ACLU member.

To say they are a propaganda network for the Republican Party is also a distortion of the facts. On numerous occasions they have taken the Republican Party to task for where they fail.

In my opinion, Fox News is the only reliable news network. The other news networks showed their true liberal bias during the last presidential campaign. Is it any wonder that Fox News has far higher viewer ratings than any of the other news networks?
