Good for them, good for us

The Spokesman-Review

I have sent a recommendation to a representative and senator, stating that this year has started out really bad. I have read many letters regarding congressional pay raises and that they should be reined in.

I propose that Amendment 28 to the United States Constitution be implemented soonest.

It goes: “Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the senators or representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the senators or representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.”

It probably has about as much chance as a snowball in hell, but elections are coming up this year. A gentle reminder to them (Congress) would go a long way.
