RECORD: 5-0 WCC, 16-3 overall
COMING UP: Tonight at Santa Clara, 8 (ESPN2); Saturday at USF, 6:30 (KHQ)
OUTLOOK: The Bulldogs, winners of 25 straight WCC regular-season games, close out the first half of the conference season with two road dates. Santa Clara (9-13, 1-4) snapped a five-game skid with a 66-65 win at San Francisco last Saturday. The senior-less Broncos, who have played a league-high 13 home games, are the youngest team in the WCC and seventh youngest nationally. Sophomore forward Marc Trasolini averages 14.2 points and 6.5 rebounds. Freshman guard Robert Smith chips in 12 ppg. San Francisco’s Dior Lowhorn, the conference’s top scorer the last two seasons, is averaging 17.6 points, but his shooting percentage (45.5) is down from his past two seasons.
