GOP protects the big guy

The Spokesman-Review

As the Republican Party rejoices over the decision of Citizens United vs. Federal Election Commission, the Supreme Court determined that the treatment of corporate speech is the same as human beings’ right to free speech.

One of the biggest sticking points of the decision is that it means that the more money a corporation has, the more they get to speak and louder they get to speak.

Who were the Supreme Court justices that think corporate speech is equal to a human’s free speech rights? Justice Kennedy was appointed by Ronald Reagan, Justice Antonin Scalia was appointed by Ronald Reagan, Chief Justice John Roberts appointed by President George W. Bush, Justice Clarence Thomas was appointed by President George H.W. Bush, Justice Samuel Alito was appointed by President George W. Bush.

Although the Republican Party tries to tell you that it stands up and is protecting the little guy, don’t believe it. All you’ve got to do is when they’ve got you down on the floor, look over your shoulder and see whose boot is on your back.
