New Faces

KHQ has hired Neal Boling as executive news director of content and marketing. He previously worked as director of content for WJHL-TV in Tri-Cities, Tenn., and holds a degree in telecommunications from the University of Florida.

Suzanne Kaderka has been hired by Associated Brokers and the Legacy Land Group NW in Hayden as an associate broker. She has worked in real estate in North Idaho for the past 10 years and has held a broker’s license since 1976.

Moss Adams LLP Spokane has added Chad Baker and Kelly Baker to its audit staff. Chad Baker holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Washington State University; Kelly Baker is a graduate of Whitworth University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and marketing.

Barbara Herrbach-Neder has been hired as a nurse practitioner for Spokane Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic. She received her master’s degree in nursing from Gonzaga University and previously worked as a nurse practitioner for an urgent care facility in Spokane.

Hart Capital Management Inc. has hired Michael Brown as vice president of equity research. He previously worked as director of research for a multibillion-dollar asset management firm in Spokane. He graduated from the University of California Berkeley and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

New Position

Scott Warder has moved to the position of promotion manager for KHQ. In addition to this new position, he will retain his role as promotion editor and photographer.

Promotions

Hart Capital Management Inc. has promoted Karen Oeser to vice president of fixed income. She has been with the firm since 2008.

Courtney Stevenson has been promoted by Dingus, Zarecor and Associates PLLC from administrative assistant to staff accountant. The firm also promoted Hilary Whittington from senior accountant to manager.

KHQ has promoted Jana Gray to news director.

Kudos

Premera Blue Cross presented North Spokane Women’s Health with a 2009 Healthcare Quality Award in the Women’s Healthcare category. The local clinic is one of 11 clinics in Washington to receive the award.

North Idaho College’s Idaho Small Business Development Center has been recognized as one of the top 10 regional offices in the nation for 2009 by the U.S. Department of Small Business Administration’s Office of Small Business Development Centers.

Gifts

Local shelters received 529 blankets from Jennifer’s Auto Sales and the Spokane Valley Fire Department collected during their blanket drive.

Numerica Credit Union employees donated more than $16,000 to hospice organizations serving Washington and Idaho, including Hospice of Spokane and Hospice of Idaho. The funds were raised during the credit union’s annual benefit auction.

Feeding America, Inland Northwest Branch hunger-relief charity, or Second Harvest, received $5,000 from People to People Ambassador Programs to supply meals to local families. The educational travel organization also donated 200 soccer balls to Spokane Public Schools District 81.

Elected

Lucia Huntington has been elected to serve a two-year term as a co-chair for Humanities Washington’s Board of Trustees. Huntington serves on the Spokane Arts Commission and is a retired English as a second language professor and department chair at Gonzaga University.
