West Valley retains unblemished mark

Shaniqua Nilles scored 12 of her 21 points in the second half Saturday as West Valley outscored Medical Lake (4-10, 3-5) 32-14 during that stretch, cruising to a 52-30 Great Northern League victory in Medical Lake.

The Eagles (14-0, 8-0) stayed unbeaten behind Nilles and Hannah Love, who added 16 points, as well as a 40-25 rebounding edge over the Cardinals.

Colville 56, Riverside 45: Jorden Brons hit three 3-pointers during a 22-point second quarter for the Indians (10-4, 5-3) and finished with 16 points on 4-for-5 shooting from beyond the arc in Riverside. The Rams (2-12, 0-8) were led by 11 points and five rebounds from Courtney Davis.

Clarkston 59, Deer Park 53: Kellie McCann-Smith had 21 points, and after almost squandering a 22-point first-half lead, the Bantams (8-6, 5-3) held off the Stags (4-10, 1-7) in Deer Park. Amanda Magney led the Stags with 13 points.

Inland Empire 5A

Lewiston 63, Post Falls 57: Tanis Fuller had 21 points and the Bengals (15-3, 3-2) outlasted the Trojans (13-7, 2-4) in Post Falls.

PF stayed close behind Katelyn Loper, who had 22 points.

Bi-County 2B

Reardan 56, Valley Christian 27: Kelsey Moos tallied 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals to lead the Indians (16-2, 10-1) to a win over the Panthers (8-10, 2-8) in Reardan. Katie Worley scored 11 to lead VC, but the Indians recorded 12 steals in the first half, taking a 33-10 lead at halftime to put the game away.

Lind-Ritzville 58, Liberty 47: Kelsey Arlt had 20 points and Devon Killian added 14 as the Broncos (10-8, 6-4) shot 57 percent from the floor to beat the host Lancers (10-8, 3-7).

Northwest Christian 55, Davenport 46: Bryanna Baley and Danne Dami combined for 23 points and the Crusaders (9-9, 5-5) shot 49 percent from the floor to upend the visiting Gorillas (6-12, 1-9), despite 27 points and four rebounds from Miranda Mielke.

Bi-County 1B

Sprague-Harrington 60, Odessa 31: Justyne Talkington had 22 points to lead the way for the Falcons (7-11, 4-1), who outscored the Tigers (3-16, 2-3) 36-10 in the second half after leading by just three at the half in Odessa.

District 9 North

Pomeroy 30, Garfield-Palouse 15: Karlie Martin led all scorers with 10 points and the Pirates (6-9, 2-2) held the Vikings (2-14, 0-5) to 5-for-31 shooting in Pomeroy.

LaCrosse-Washtucna 43, Tri-Cities Prep 23: Gladys Martinez had 12 points and Kirsten Stubbs had nine, including a pair of 3-pointers in the first quarter, as the host Tigercats (7-12, 2-7) outscored the Jaguars (0-9, 0-8) 16-5 in the opening frame and never looked back.

Colton 74, Touchet 37: The Indians (4-7, 3-5) opened the game with a 9-0 run, but the Wildcats responded with a 32-0 run and took a 42-17 lead into halftime behind 14 of McKenzie Heaslet’s 16 points in Colton. Haley Moser added 12 of her 18 in the second half to help the Wildcats put the game far out of reach.

Asotin 50, Tekoa-Oakesdale 40: Shelby Barnes scored a game-high 17 points, Jessica Prior added 10 points and the Panthers (11-7, 5-0) forced 26 turnovers and knocked off the Nighthawks (8-9, 2-2) in Asotin.

Panorama

Columbia 51, Republic 47: Julie Ann Larew and Lindsay Loe combined for 28 points and the Lions (17-3, 14-1) completed their league season with just one loss, beating the Tigers (15-4, 12-3) in Republic. Tori Orestad had 15 points for the Tigers.

Selkirk 79, Inchelium 41: The Hornets (1-17, 1-13) trailed by just 10 at halftime, but the visiting Rangers (8-12, 7-8) picked things up in the second half, outscoring the Hornets 38-20 after the break behind Courtney Holter, who had 21 points.

Curlew 46, Northport 23: Larissa Miller notched 13 points to lead all scorers and the Cougars (9-9, 7-8) ran away from the Mustangs (3-14, 2-12) in the second half with a 28-10 edge after the break in Northport.

St. George’s 44, Wellpinit 36: Chessey Thomas had 19 points with four steals and three assists and after trailing the Redskins (7-11, 6-8) by two at the half, the Dragons (18-2, 13-1) went on a 29-19 run in the second half at St. George’s.

Cusick 57, St. Michael’s 35: Jamie Adams scored 20 points to lead the Panthers (7-11, 6-8), who hit 24 field goals to the host Warriors’ (0-15, 0-14) nine in the game. Marianne Raynor led all scorers with 23 points for the Warriors, tallying all but 12 of their points.

Nonleague

St. John-Endicott 62, Dayton 48: Erin Schuster had a game-high 17 points and Kelly Van Lith added 11 as the Eagles (16-1) shot 49 percent to knock off the Bulldogs in Dayton.

Colfax 48, Almira/Coulee-Hartline 40: The Warriors (15-3) took an early 11-4 lead led by Madeline Isaak and Sarah Gloyn, but the host Bulldogs (15-3) quickly turned things around. Kayla Johnson scored 11 of her 17 in the second quarter and the Bulldogs outscored ACH 35-21 over the second and third quarters to pull ahead for good.
