Black Widows rally

Marissa Mykines and Tiara Pittman scored second-half goals and the Spokane Black Widows rallied to beat the Clovis Sidekicks 2-1 in Women’s Premier Soccer League action Saturday night at Joe Albi Stadium.

Clovis (5-5) jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Nikki Schrey. Ida Rodriguez assisted on the tally.

Spokane leveled the match in the 67th minute on an unassisted goal by Mykines, who plays for the University of Illinois.

The Black Widows (4-4) got the game-winner from Washington State University’s Pittman in the 80th minute with an assist from goalkeeper Maddie Dickinson.

Dickinson finished the match with eight saves.
