Pilgrim’s Natural Market Events - Summer Yoga Classes: Monday nights at 5:30 p.m. at Pilgrim’s Health and Education Center in the Pilgrim’s Natural Market. Class starts with 45 minutes of modified warm-up yoga, and then participants will be driven to Sander’s Beach for an hour-long guided kayak tour before returning to the studio for a half-hour restorative yoga class targeted to prevent muscle knots and tension. Cost is $5. Tai Chi and Chi Gung for Natural Health: Demo and video presentation.Christopher Anderl, Ph.D., will give a live tai chi demonstration with commentary, followed by a question and answer period. Babysitting Basics – For youth ages 10-15 to prepare them with the skills they need to be a successful babysitter. Class covers topics such as: how to care for infants, toddlers and older children; CPR and first aid for infants and children; discipline issues; safety; and business basics. “Caresharing: Strengthening the Bonds to those Coping with Dementia” – Presented by Alzheimer’s Association. Author, teacher and long-term-care consultant Marty Richards will present a five-hour workshop which proposes a new, balanced approach to the traditional care relationship and shows how to move from independent caregiving to interdependent caregiving by engaging the emotional aspects of caring for a loved one. July 21, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at Gonzaga University School of Law, 721 N. Cincinnati St., in the Barbieri Moot Court Room. Cost is $35 for professionals (includes a five-hour certificate of attendance) or $15 for family members, students and non-credit attendees. Price includes a box lunch during the noon hour.
