Summer weather extends this week

Asia Hege
The summer weather may have been slow coming, but it continues today with a high of 86, and hotter temperatures forecast for the rest of the week. Temperatures for tomorrow and Friday are expected to be 93, with evenings around 60 and clear. Temperatures for this week will be above average leading into next week, according to the National Weather Service. Yesterday’s high of 78 tops last year’s temperature for the day of 75. The warming trend also brings along dry air. The Weather Service reported that humidity decreased from 77 percent yesterday to 67 percent this morning. The warming and drying trends are expected to continue into early next week, although North Idaho has a chance for thunderstorms.
