Actors wanted for upcoming shows

The Spokane Civic Theatre is in need of actors for two upcoming performances.

Auditions for “BUDDY: The Buddy Holly Story” will be on Wednesday, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., on the main stage at the Theatre, 1020 N. Howard St.

Roles needed include three men, appearing to be ages 22-32, for the roles of Buddy Holly and the Crickets. The focus for Buddy is vocals and the ability to play acoustic and electric guitar. The focus for the roles of Joe and Jerry are the ability to play musical instruments, along with some singing and minimal dialogue.

Bring your own sheet music and be prepared to sing a verse and a chorus of a 1950s rock and roll or pop song. Accompanist will be provided. String players should bring their own instruments.

Performances will be held Sept. 24 through Oct. 24.

The Civic Theatre is also looking for one woman to play the role of Sister Leo in their production of “NUNsense.”

Auditions will be held on July 20 at 6:30 p.m. on the main stage at the theater.

The woman should appear to be between the ages 20-30 and will be expected to perform a verse and a chorus from a contemporary musical.

Bring your own sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Three to five years of ballet training is needed and en pointe is a plus.

Performances will be Nov. 19 to Dec. 19.
