Convicted teen arrested again

The Spokesman-Review

A teenager convicted of assault for his role in a fatal stabbing last year is back behind bars after his second felony arrest in a week.

Christopher E. Hooper, 19, was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly crashed a stolen Honda Accord on state Route 291 near Rutter Parkway Road. The Honda was reported stolen early Saturday from the 5800 block of North F Street.

Washington State Patrol detectives are sorting property found in the car, some already identified as loot from vehicle prowlings, according to court documents. Hooper’s bond was set at $2,500 Wednesday for one count of possession of stolen motor vehicle.

Hooper was arrested July 1 after he lied to police about his identity and was found with burglary tools and prescription drugs, police say. He left jail the next day. He is on probation after pleading guilty in April to second-degree assault in connection with the January 2009 murder of Shannon A. Cochran.
