In brief: Motorcyclist injured on I-90
A 54-year-old motorcyclist was injured Wednesday when his Harley-Davidson rear ended another vehicle on Interstate 90, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Robert A. Newton, of Spokane, was eastbound on the highway on his 1993 Harley about 5:20 p.m. when vehicles began to slow because of traffic near the Barker Road exit, the WSP said.
Newton’s Harley struck the rear of a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Perry D. Pust, 56, of Vancouver. Pust was not injured.
Newton, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center where he was in satisfactory condition.
He was cited for driving too fast, inattentive driving and following too close, WSP said.
