In brief: Intersection will be closed

VERADALE – The intersection of Sprague Avenue and Sullivan Road will be completely closed for three weeks beginning Monday. There will still be local access for all businesses located at the intersection.

Through traffic will be detoured around the intersection using Broadway Avenue, Conklin Road, Fourth Avenue and Adams Road. Drivers not doing business in the area are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the area completely.

The asphalt will be replaced with concrete and the sidewalks and storm drains will also be upgraded. The city chose to completely close the intersection to complete the project faster and more cheaply. For more information on the project, call (509) 720-5001.
