Idaho accident kills California biker

By The Spokesman-Review

A 67-year-old California man was killed Thursday morning when his motorcycle flipped on an Idaho highway and landed on top of him.

Kenneth B. Sanford, of Acampo, Calif., was westbound on Highway 12 near Kooskia, south of Orofino, on a 2002 BMW motorcycle when he lost control. The motorcycle slid off the road and flipped, landing on Sanford. He died at the scene, the Idaho State Patrol said.

Sanford’s wife and passenger on the motorcycle, Marlene R. Sanford, 67, was not injured.
