Hospitalized West Virginia coach Bob Huggins is expected to make a full recovery after being hospitalized for broken ribs during a Las Vegas recruiting trip. Athletic director Oliver Luck says Huggins fell in his hotel room Friday night and broke four ribs. He was taken to the hospital and held overnight for observation. Luck says he spoke with associate head coach Larry Harrison, who was with Huggins on the trip.

Died Former basketball player Kaye Cowher, the wife of ex-Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher, has died of skin cancer. She was 54. Cowher played at North Carolina State and in the now-defunct Women’s Professional Basketball League. Cowher died Friday in her native North Carolina, where the family relocated at her urging during Bill Cowher’s final year as Steelers coach in 2006, one season after Pittsburgh won the Super Bowl.

Signed The New York Giants agreed to terms with free-agent linebacker Keith Bulluck. Media reports said the deal was for one year and $2.5 million. Bulluck has spent his entire 10-year career with the Tennessee Titans. He was a first-round pick out of Syracuse in 2000 and grew up in New City, N.Y., about 30 miles north of where the Giants play in East Rutherford, N.J. The Giants have been looking for a replacement for middle linebacker Antonio Pierce, who was released after last season. The 33-year-old Bulluck tore his left anterior cruciate ligament in December, and finished second on the Titans with 118 tackles in 14 games.

• Sixth-round draft pick Eric Olsen signed with the Denver Broncos. The 6-foot-3, 305-pound offensive lineman started 31 games for Notre Dame, playing all three interior line positions. He gave up only four sacks in his last two years with the Fighting Irish and picked up only one penalty during his final 1,731 plays in college.

Arrested Former University of Memphis basketball players Shawne Williams and Kareem Cooper have been arrested after police found marijuana and a loaded gun in the car they were traveling in. Memphis (Tenn.) police say they pulled over the Dodge Charger on Friday because Williams wasn’t wearing a seat belt. He was charged with driving on a suspended license. Police then searched the car and say they found more than 17 grams of marijuana and a gun on Cooper. Williams was a first-round draft pick in 2006.
