Interstate 90 on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass will be closed for an hour at 8 p.m. today, Wednesday and Thursday.
Blasting near Gold Creek is being stepped up this week to help crews undertake the massive job of removing rock cliffs to widen the freeway from two to three lanes in each direction.
Drivers should plan for at least an hour delay during the temporary closures.
In addition, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. each night, tonight through Saturday morning.
A separate paving project near Keechelus Dam will cause traffic to be reduced to one lane in each direction from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Wednesday night through Saturday morning.
