Ambrosia Bistro wins Wine Spectator award

Ambrosia Bistro is the proud winner of an Award of Excellence for 2010 from Wine Spectator magazine. Owners Scott and Kara Cook said the award honors restaurants that emphasize wine selection, service and menu pairing. Fewer than 4,000 restaurants in the world are given the award each year, according to a news release. To commemorate the award, Scott Cook and Arbor Crest Wine Cellars winemaker Kristina van Loben Sels created a new blend. Ambrosia’s signature Bistro Red is a blend of 60 percent malbec, 20 percent cabernet sauvignon, 15 percent merlot and 5 percent petit verdot. The wine is available at the restaurant both by the bottle and glass. Ambrosia Bistro opened in 2006. It is located at 9211 E. Montgomery Ave. in Argonne Village.
