Tractor traps man at Cheney wastewater plant

A small tractor at the wastewater treatment plant in Cheney rolled, trapping a part-time employee underneath this afternoon. The man was taken to a Spokane area hospital but was still alive when responders arrived at the scene, according to Commander Rick Campbell of the Cheney Police. The man was moving equipment from the treatment plant to the utility building about a half mile away, with his supervisor driving in front of him in a pick-up truck. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, Campbell said. This story is developing.
