Man stabbed after argument on lower South Hill

Criminal charges are expected in connection with a stabbing sparked by an argument on the lower South Hill on Wednesday night. Spokane police said they have identified a suspect in the 10:30 p.m. incident that stemmed from an argument between two men who were acquainted with each other. There was a history of animosity between the men, police said. The incident occurred outside a Zip Trip Store at 10th Avenue and Maple Street. The victim suffered numerous wounds, but they were not life threatening, officers said.
