Dental treatment bad stuff
Shawn Vestal’s article (July 28) bashing anyone not wanting to swallow fluoridation is a common tactic used by anyone that can’t back their opinion with the facts.
It’s interesting that he likens them to those who deny global warming. Both are more politics than science. Also, the proponents of both will not show up for open debate.
What isn’t debatable, is the product used to fluoridate. It’s the “scrubber liquer” from the chimneys of phosphate fertilizer plants. It’s too toxic for the local air or water supply (too many lawsuits). And, they have difficulty in getting rid of it.
But, some city councils are foolish enough to buy it for fluoridation. If so, the fertilizer company asks them to sign a waiver so that the company will not be liable for any harm done to anyone.
And so, Sandpoint’s decision is a no-brainer. It’s a victory for common sense.
This country needs more of it! Who will you believe, the promoters or the whistle-blowers?
Take the advice from your fluoridated toothpaste tube – it warns “do not swallow.”
