Carjacked Lancer recovered; thieves still at large

The Spokesman-Review

Spokane police today found the Mitsubishi Lancer stolen at gunpoint during a dispute over loud music in fast food drive-through.

But the men who stole it still are at large. They are described as large, white and bald.

They were waiting at McDonald’s, 909 W. Indiana Ave., in a white, four-door sedan at 2:58 a.m. Monday when the Mitsubishi occupied by two other men pulled in behind playing loud music, police said.

When one of the men yelled to turn the music down, the men in the Mitsubishi got out of the car and confronted them but retreated when one displayed a handgun, according to police.

The men ordered the victims out of the car before driving off – one in the car they arrived in and one in the victim’s vehicle.

The Mitsubishi was found about 1:30 p.m. today in a vacant lot in the area of 1800 West Boone. Its stereo was stolen. Major crimes detectives are combing it for evidence. Anyone with information should call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.

    large, white and bald…

…how about age? …ballpark? Or were the “victims” too drunk to note that.

Just wondering whether “small, brown/black and hairy” would be considered inappropriate :)

“When one of the men yelled to turn the music down, the men in the Mitsubishi got out of the car and confronted them but retreated when one displayed a handgun, according to police.”

They literally walked themselves into this one!

This goes into the “oh sh*t did I really just….” parts of life. The tough guys (not from the neighborhood) met the the other even tougher guys (the guys from the neighborhood)… classic.

I hate to not damn to condemnation any crime (no really) but this fits… the punishment?
