Forecast filled with rain

After a wet weekend, the chance of rain is expected to increase throughout the day and continue through the week. Despite a forecasted high of 69 degrees today, cloudy conditions will continue. Today’s temperature is the expected high mark for the week, with a dip to 54 degrees on Wednesday, but rising back into the 60 degree-range toward the end of the week. The predicted low for tonight is 52 degrees. The National Weather Service predicts rainfall on Wednesday to be half an inch, in an already record-rainfall spring. Spokane received record precipitation in a 24-hour period for June 1, with .66 inches. The former record was .48 inches in 1997. The measurement was taken at Spokane International Airport. By Monday, the chance of rain decreases and temperatures are predicted to increase. Similar conditions of rain and moderate temperatures are expected across the state and in Coeur d’Alene.
