Spokane received record rainfall two of the past seven days, and wet weather will persist the rest of this week.

Up to a half-inch of rain is forecast for today, with a high of 60 and wind gusts to 22 mph.

Showers and wind will continue tonight, with a low of 49, the National Weather Service predicts.

Rivers in the region are expected to remain within their banks, but if rain continues, small streams could flood.

The chance of showers will decrease Thursday, but heavy rain is expected to return Sunday.
