Sex offender released, Spokane County warns

A child rapist who recently served nine months in jail for violating his probation is now living as a transient in Spokane County, officials announced Tuesday.

Donald A. Radecker, 39, served 140 months in prison after being convicted in 1995 of raping a 5-year-old girl in Ferry County.

He’s lived in Spokane before but was sentenced to nine months in jail in September. He’s being supervised by the Washington Department of Corrections.

Radecker is a level 3 sex offender, the group considered most likely to reoffend.

He is not wanted by law enforcement, but the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office wants people to be aware of his presence.
