Sun this morning, more rain by evening
Thursday morning broke with sun after a week with record precipitation levels. By evening the precipitation should return, forecasters say.
Though sunny with a high of 62 during the day, late evening has a 60 percent chance of showers. Friday will bring more precipitation and thunderstorms during the afternoon. Weekend temperatures will hover in the 60s, with a chance of showers.
River and stream levels continue to rise, with potential for stream floods and mudslides, according to the National Weather Service. Flood warnings have been issued in Idaho for the Little Salmon River and Imnaha River in Oregon.
Lewiston on Wednesday received a record 0.87 inches of rainfall. The previous record for that date was 0.65 inches set in 1905.
