Man held in robbery at downtown Spokane hotel

A 22-year-old man was arrested Saturday morning for allegedly beating and robbing a woman in her downtown hotel room.

The victim called police from the 7-Eleven store at 177 S. Division St. and said she had been beaten and robbed in her room at the FairBridge Inn Express hotel, 211 S. Division St., about 4:30 a.m.

The woman described one of the attackers, and police returned to the hotel and detained at least one man as he exited his room. Officers recovered some of the victim’s stolen property, and the victim positively identified at least one man, police said.

Donte J. Davis was booked into the Spokane County Jail on a charge of first-degree robbery.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital, where she was treated for a large laceration to her nose, police said.
