Idaho woman injured in head-on collision near Uniontown

A 21-year-old Kamiah, Idaho, woman was injured this morning in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 195 near Uniontown. Kayce L. Sams was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston Moscow where she was reported in fair condition following the 4 a.m. accident. Washington state troopers said she was headed south on the highway when she fell asleep at the wheel and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by Gregory A. Stout, 52, of Uniontown. The accident occurred in the northbound lane 20 miles south of Pullman.
