Driver injured in Highway 195 crash
A 21-year-old Kamiah, Idaho, woman was injured Monday in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 195 near Uniontown, Wash.
Kayce L. Sams was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, where she was reported in fair condition Monday afternoon following the 4 a.m. accident, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Troopers said Sams was headed south on the highway when she fell asleep at the wheel and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by Gregory A. Stout, 52, of Uniontown.
The accident occurred in the northbound lane 20 miles south of Pullman.
