Library column spoke volumes

The Spokesman-Review

Thank you for Jim Kershner’s column supporting the Spokane Public Library. Pat Partovi, library director, should be praised for her superb management, which affords excellent service to the entire Spokane community. A major cut to the library’s budget has been announced by our mayor and would derail many of the services Spokane depends on at the library.

At the same time, the city has been changing traffic walk and stop signs with a new numbers system throughout the city. The water department is sending glossy calendars to all city residents. A building has been purchased to house police property (after the public rejected the project). Shall I continue?
