Carole has a friend, on stage

King
The Spokesman-Review

Carole King once referred to James Taylor’s version of her song “You’ve Got a Friend” as “jaw-droppingly wonderful.”

Her current tour with Taylor, the “Troubadour Reunion,” will likely yield some more favorites for the Grammy-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.

King said then that rehearsals for the tour were so good that they look like “the picture in the dictionary under the word joy — and you’ll see it on everyone’s face on the tour, too.”

For the tour, both King and Taylor are onstage the whole time, taking turns singing their own classics. Although Taylor has been a summer concert tradition for decades, King has been far more reclusive in her home in Idaho’s Sawtooth Valley.

American pie-eyed

Actor Chris Klein was arrested early Wednesday in Los Angeles on suspicion of drunken driving, officials said.

Klein, 31, best known for his role in the “American Pie” comedies, was taken into custody about 3:15 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.

Klein’s onetime relationship with actress Katie Holmes was frequent tabloid fodder.

The Fox hunt is off

Megan Fox is off the market. Again.

A spokeswoman for the 24-year-old actress says Fox is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, actor Brian Austin Green.

Publicist Dominique Appel declined to elaborate.

Fox was previously engaged to Green, 36, whom she has been dating for several years.

Fox can next be seen in the film “Jonah Hex,” opening Friday.
