In brief: Forums to address school design

CHENEY – The Cheney School Board will hold two community forums to discuss the design plans for two new middle schools.

The meetings will be Monday at Cheney Middle School, 2716 N. Sixth St., and Tuesday at Windsor Elementary School, 5504 W. Hallett Road, Spokane. both 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Boy recycles cans for meals program

MANITO/CANNON HILL – Daniel Close, a 7-year-old Spokane resident, has started his own aluminum can recycling business, Dan’s Cans.

During the month of June, Dan is holding the second annual aluminum can drive to benefit Meals on Wheels of Spokane. To donate, drop off aluminum cans at 2111 S. Tekoa St.
