Woman at hospital after early morning party turns violent

The Spokesman-Review
A young woman cut on both thighs is listed in stable condition at a Spokane hospital this morning after a party turned into a fight on Spokane’s North Side. Spokane police were called to the fight in the 1800 block of North Normandie Street about 2 a.m., while a downtown officer spotted a driver who turned out to be the victim driving toward the hospital at a high rate of speed, according to a press release. An officer pulled over the woman and discovered she was cut and bleeding; the officer escorted her to the hospital. At the Normandie address, police learned that the woman’s vehicle windows were smashed with a baseball bat and golf club by two men in a fight involving about 20 people. The injured woman and witnesses were unsure how she was cut. No arrests were made, and police are asking that anyone with information about the incident call Crime Check at 456-2233.
