Youth are up to the challenge

The Spokesman-Review

Congratulations to Katie Wee! Her guest column, “Youth need to have an impact,” on Sunday, June 13, was outstanding!

As a teacher of preschool and kindergarten children for many years, I have seen just how capable they are of accomplishing great things. Great things being kind and caring and empathetic. These things don’t just happen, they need special people like Katie to be a leader and remind us of all the great kids.

I applaud her and the children I’ve been so fortunate to have in my life.
