Behind closed doors

The Spokesman-Review

Sure would like to know why Dick Cheney received millions of dollars from BP (British Petroleum), or have we forgotten the closed-door meetings he had with Big Oil?

Thirty-four million dollars can buy a sitting vice president; it can buy a lot of drilling permits, too.

Eleven people dead, their loved ones devastated, livelihoods destroyed, an ecosystem killed. Thirty-four million dollars bought a lot.

Drill, baby, drill. What next, Yellowstone? How about the Grand Tetons or Glacier? Bet there’s lots of oil in those parks. Drill, baby, drill.

Good letter, makes one wonder why this crimminal is not in jail. Old dicky boy should be tried and executed for the misery he and his buddies have caused in this world.

The only ‘good’ thing about the oil volcano in the Gulf is that Sick Dick has shut his snarling pie hole…he has been very quiet since the debacle started. Must be worried about indictment.

In honor of his secret Energy Task Force, held behind closed doors in 2001, and all that he has done for this nation, I suggest renaming the Gulf of Mexico. Let’s call it the Gulf of Cheney!
