Bloomsday participants this year donated nearly $10,000 to SNAP, the nonprofit social services organization that assists Spokane’s most vulnerable residents.

The Lilac Bloomsday Association also contributed $500 to SNAP through the association’s “Getting Greener” initiative.

“These dollars will be put to excellent use allowing us to provide local neighborhood services,” said Larry Stuckart, SNAP executive director.
