Pedestrian hurt in downtown Spokane hit-and-run
A Spokane man was reported in stable condition at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center today after he was struck in a crosswalk at Riverfront Park by a hit-and-run driver about 3 a.m., police said.
The man was crossing the street at Spokane Falls Boulevard at Post Street and was within the crosswalk when a gray 1990s Cadillac hit him and then drove off northbound on Post Street, police said after interviewing the man.
A witness in another vehicle stopped and helped the pedestrian to the curb. The injured man appeared to have a broken pelvis, police said. The witness left the pedestrian on the sidewalk without leaving a name.
Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
