Cody Stelzer has been selected to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America Men’s Track and Field/Cross Country Team, the third straight year he has achieved the honor. He is on the second team for the second year in a row. Stelzer graduated from Whitworth in May as a biology major with a 3.50 grade-point average through January term. Stelzer recently finished fourth in the high jump at the NCAA Division III track and field cham- pionships with a height of 6 feet, 10 1/4 inches.

•University of Idaho track and field athletes Allix Lee-Painter and James Rogan were chosen to ESPN The Magazine/ CoSIDA Academic All-America Team.

The honors are the second of Lee-Painter’s career and the first for Rogan.

Lee-Painter, who earlier this year won the 3000-meter steeplechase, 5,000 meters and 10,000 at the WAC Championships earned second-team honors for the second straight year. Lee-Painter earned degrees in English and Secondary Education in May with a 3.86 cumulative GPA.

Rogan is a two-time NCAA qualifier, school record holder and WAC champion in the men’s hammer throw. He graduated with degrees in Justice Studies and Sociology and a 3.70 GPA.
