Authorities identify body found in river as 37-year-old
Man was last seen Nov. 23 near West Mallon
Spokane police today identified the body of a man found along the Spokane River last week as Larry J. Hardy, 37.
Hardy has been missing since Nov. 23 and was last seen at a house in the 1700 block of West Mallon Avenue.
A cause of death was not determined by the medical examiner, but there were no apparent injuries or signs of foul play. Hardy had a history of mental illness, police said.
Firefighters recovered his body June 23 from the river below a steep embankment just west of Downriver Golf Course adjacent to a disc golf course.
