Taste Spokane coming to casino

 

Taste Spokane on Friday and help raise money for the Wishing Star Foundation.

More than 30 area restaurants, caterers, brewers, winemakers and distillers are participating in Taste Spokane, which will be held 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Northern Quest Casino and Resort.

Tickets are $20 each and include five tickets exchangeable for a “taste” from the food and beverage vendors. Each additional “taste” costs $2.

Proceeds benefit the Wishing Star Foundation. Established in 1983, Wishing Star Foundation grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses between the ages of 3 and 21, living in Eastern and Central Washington and Idaho.

Vendors include: Aloha Island Grill, Arbor Crest Wine Cellars, Beacon Hill Catering, Black Tie Catering, Bon Appétit, Chocolate Myracles, Chick-a-Ria German Inn, Dry Falls Cellars, Dry Fly Distilling, Evans Bros. Coffee, Hay J’s Bistro, Knipprath Cellars, Iron Horse Brewery, Latah Creek Winery, Lindaman’s, Marsells Cakes and Desserts, Masselow’s at Northern Quest, Mama Mia’s, MJ’s Chocolate Fountain, Mountain Dome Winery, Northern Lights Brewery, Pend d’Oreille Winery, Soulful Soups, Steam Plant Grill, Taste of India, Vintage Hill Cellars, Whitestone Winery, Wild Sage Bistro and Woodlands at Northern Quest.

Kitchen and Garden sale Saturday

Looking for leftovers?

Slow Food Spokane River will host the Second Chance Kitchen and Garden Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Peters and Sons Flowers and Gifts, 512 E. Pacific Ave.

The sale will feature an eclectic collection of gently used items for growing, cooking, baking and serving food. Proceeds benefit the Slow Food Spokane River goals of working toward a food system that is good, clean and fair.
