Teryn Pannette had 14 points and Napavine held off the surging Loggers in the second half.

The Tigers led by as many as 15 but struggled mightily in the second half. They scored just four points in the third quarter, allowing Darrington to pull within four at the end of the game.

Three freshmen served notice of the arrival of Reardan to the tournament field. Led by Kelsey Moos’ 24 points, the Indians blitzed the Tigers.

Moos combined with fellow first-year players Chantel Heath and Tori Wynecoop to score 38 of the Indians’ 59 points, with Moos leading the team with eight rebounds. Her 14 first-half points helped the Indians build a 16-point lead by halftime.

The Indians’ advantage reached 26 by the end of the third quarter.The Indians forced 14 first-half turnovers and finished with 18, converting 12 points off those miscues.

The Mules took charge midway through the third quarter with a 13-0 run, started by Jordan Wirkala, who finished with 18 points. Halie Boyce followed with a three-point play and a basket, and Brieanna Olsen, who scored 15 points, capped it with a 3-pointer for a 42-32 lead.

The Vikings got back within four at the start of the fourth quarter, but they came no closer.

Taylor Bodine scored 21 points as slow and steady won the race for Northwest Christian (Lacey).

NWC never scored more than 16 points in a quarter, accomplishing that in the opening frame to build an eight-point lead. Bodine scored eight points during an early 10-0 run that pushed the lead to 12-4 with 2:35 left in the first.

After trailing 8-1 after the first period, 20-8 at the half and 18 early in the third quarter, the Toutle Lake Ducks closed within 31-26 entering the fourth quarter.

They tied it at 33 on a layup by Shelby Waston, who had a game-high 19 points, and took the lead with 4:44 to play on a short jumper by Kelsey Kent.

Liberty Bell led after the opening minutes but couldn’t shake Asotin until the fourth quarter to win for the 13th time in 14 games.

The Panthers closed within three points early in the fourth quarter. But Ryliegh Ferrill and Shelby Scott helped the Mountain Lions pull away, combining for 16 points in the fourth quarter.
