SNAP will take energy aid calls

The Spokesman-Review

The Spokane Neighborhood Action Program will take energy assistance calls for one more Saturday before spring, the agency announced this week.

SNAP will take calls for Spokane residents seeking help with energy bills from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at (509) 242-2376.

Typically, the agency takes calls for appointments on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those call times will remain open until funding runs out, the agency said. Web appointments can be made on Wednesdays at www.snapwa.org.

This year the number of individuals needing assistance reached record levels, with appointments exceeding 13,500, officials said.
