NIC men fall short

 

PRICE, Utah – Tony Dalton and Isiah Williams netted 16 points apiece and Jonathan Mills added 13 points and a game-high 12 rebounds to propel the Eastern Utah Golden Eagles to an 88-80 victory over the North Idaho Cardinals.

With the win the Golden Eagles (23-9) advance to a play-in game with a berth to the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament on the line. North Idaho’s season has ended.

Renado Parker had a game-high 20 points for NIC (27-5). Taylor Stevens scored 18, while Idell Bell added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Eastern Utah had a whopping 43 free throws – making 29. North Idaho connected on 19 of 25 foul shots.
