Idaho all-star games set for NIC

North plays South Saturday afternoon

The seventh annual Idaho State High School All-Star Basketball Games are Saturday at North Idaho College.

The North and South boys and girls teams feature most of the top seniors in the state. Athletes from Districts I and II are on the North teams and athletes from Districts III, IV, V and VI are on the South teams.

The doubleheader begins with the girls game at 1 p.m., followed by the boys at 3:30. The event also features a 3-point shooting contest between the girls and boys and a slam-dunk contest.

Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens.

Players were chosen by a committee of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the state.

•Playing for the North boys are Connor White and Connor Williams of Coeur d’Alene, Cody Lewis of Kellogg, J.J. Stoddard of Lake City, Joel Underdahl of Lakeland, Justin Podrabsky of Lewiston, Mac Stannard of Moscow, Shawn Reid and Malcolm Colbert of Post Falls, David Sigler of Prairie, Jake Weimer of Priest River and Stefan Buratto of Sandpoint. Post Falls coach Mike McLean is the coach.

•Playing for the South boys are Craig Spjute of Borah, Jordan Thompson and Taylor Kelly of Eagle, Michael Crane of Glenns Ferry, Jordan Johnson of Hillcrest, Kameron Pearce of Jerome, Kole Krosch of Mackay, Josh Fuller of Madison, Matthew Clark of Skyview, Dan Goodale of Timberline, Jon Pusifer of Twin Falls and Zach Kelsh of Vallivue. Hillcrest coach Kade Olson is the coach.

•Playing for the North girls are Shaina Gustafson of Clark Fork, Autumn Wilson of Clearwater Valley, Dayna Drager and Amanda Buttrey of Coeur d’Alene, Ryder Ashcraft and Chelsea Morgan of Kellogg, Emily Stecker of Lakeland, Chantal Ellenwood of Lapwai, Nicole Redd and Jessica Kramer of Lewiston, Taylor Stewart of Priest River and Katelyn Loper of Post Falls. Alyana Watson of Lakeland is an alternate. Priest River coach Gary Stewart is the coach.

•Playing for the South girls are Julie Muguira of Bishop Kelly, Jordin Juker of Boise, Mailie Garner and Kylee Searle of Bonneville, Taylor Hagood of Centennial, Callie Williams of Eagle, Aubree Callen of Jerome, Chelsie Luke of Meridian, Ariah Gonzalez of Middleton, Teenie Kent of Richfield, Sofia Hepworth of Sugar-Salem, Sienna Edmunson of New Plymouth and Hailey Felgenhauer of Fruitland.
