Woman’s body found in Spokane River
The body of a 42-year-old woman was pulled from the Spokane River this afternoon near Mission Park.
The woman, who was not identified, was found in the water several feet from the shore in the brush by a pedestrian walking near the Centennial Trail, Spokane Police said.
Major Crimes detectives do not believe there was foul play involved in the death, said Officer Jennifer DeRuwe, police spokeswoman
The Medical Examiner’s office will determine whether the death was accidental or a suicide, pending toxicology results. Those results will take about eight to ten weeks, officials said.

Yesterday, it was a man’s body. What the hell is in that river anyway?

I’ve lived here all my life. People die in that river every year. It’s definitely more dangerous than it looks.
Or there is a slimy sea monster that pulls you in.

Does it really matter if it’s a man or woman, it’s still a person. I feel sad no matter what that someone has died alone.
