Husband held in fatal Federal Way shooting

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – A Federal Way police spokesman said a man who accompanied his wife to a Federal Way church for a counseling session fatally shot the woman Wednesday evening.

Officer Raymond Bunk said a 38-year-old Lakewood woman was shot several times just before 6 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she died.

Bunk said a 42-year-old Lakewood man was arrested for investigation of homicide. The spokesman said the man called 911 to report the shooting and was arrested at the scene.
