In brief: RACE hosts drive, breakfast

ROSALIA – The Rosalia Association for Community Enrichment will host a member drive and job fair breakfast and bake sale March 27, from 8 to 11 a.m., at the Rosalia Community Center.

RACE is also looking for volunteers for its 2010 spring/summer softball committee and 2010 fall festival dance committee.

A donation of $5 is suggested for the breakfast. Profits will benefit RACE and help fund events and education in the Rosalia community.

Kids present ‘Nightingale’

WEST HILLS – Spokane Children’s Theatre will perform “The Nightingale” by Hans Christian Andersen at the Spartan Theatre at Spokane Falls Community College, beginning Saturday. The show will run through March 28.

Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for children.

Summit to focus on seniors

MORAN PRAIRIE – The Resident Councils of Washington will host the ninth annual Partners in Progress conference March 26 at Harbor Crest Retirement Community, 3117 E. Chaser Lane, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will feature speakers and workshops aimed at addressing the needs and interests of seniors, particularly emphasizing those who reside in senior living communities.

Breakfast and lunch will be included, along with senior resource tables, giveaways and door prizes.
