Agreed The Baltimore Ravens filled a void on their defensive line Monday by reaching agreement on a two-year deal with former Seattle Seahawks defensive end Cory Redding. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound Redding started only three games for the Seahawks last year but has 18 career sacks over seven NFL seasons, the first six with Detroit.

Leaving Big 12 player of the year James Anderson has decided to skip his senior season at Oklahoma State and enter his name in the NBA draft. Anderson averaged 22.3 points and leaves the program after scoring more points through the first three years of his career than any player in OSU history.

Out Under a “mutual parting,” Scot McCloughan is no longer the general manager of the San Francisco 49ers and director of player personnel Trent Baalke will lead the team into next month’s draft. Team president Jed York, speaking in a conference call from the owners meetings in Orlando, says it’s in the best interest of both parties and called it a “private personnel matter.” York said the team “had been prepared for this.”

Hired East Carolina has hired former Auburn coach Jeff Lebo to replace Mack McCarthy as men’s basketball coach. Lebo had spent the past six seasons at Auburn, going 96-93 overall before he was fired earlier this month.

Resigned Stephen F. Austin State women’s basketball coach Lee Ann Riley has resigned. SFA athletic director Robert Hill announced the resignation in a statement. Riley compiled a 149-129 record at SFA, including going 18-11 this past season. The Ladyjacks lost in the first round of the Women’s NIT to Creighton.
